No system is perfect and never can be.  If we are to live in peace, then we must start with that premise and share rather than live in expectation of reward. Whatever system we use, there will always be a need to count?

Whatever we consider "free" should in the end empower people rather than create misery.

One of the big factors in achieving this is to replace people with machines (since we no longer need to "create" jobs for the sake of the economy.

Another important factor is FREE ENERGY. There is already a discussion group on this topic, however an important ingredient to this one.

Before we can get there, we need to understand the problem:

"A Zen master tells his student that if he does NOT eat the soup in front of him, he will hit him with his stick.  He continues by telling the young student that if he does eat the soup in front of him, he will hit him with his stick.  What is the student to do?"

Take away the stick?

i like the idea of a monetray system that is based on a diffnret valuing.  insetad of valuign whta is scarce it would vlaue what is NEEDED, like time banks.  I also liek the idea of a more feleixble systme that alos for sevreal difffnret types of moentry systems to coexisit liek a helathy ecosystem.  PERhaps a time bank a scaricty driven yssmte a random bsaed systme liek bitcoins adn a gifting system

i first heard this idea when i watch 2012 time for changge the idea of not one type of money but different type of currency for different thing was a fasisnating idea instead of buying food grow your own and trade with your friend family and all around you. the only problem i see with this is starting it im in chicago and looked around for maybe a small group to start this with such as trading food or time for time. .

Hi all, I am in the process of building a community here in Oregon for the purpose of living sustainable, self sufficiently and happily. Taking the wisdom and mechanics of our ancestors and putting them to pratical and modern technological use! No silly paper money is the end goal, trading, gifting and service is the goal ahead and building a community that can support its self with everyone having something to offer and add to the tribe. Let me know if anyone has any experience with this and/or wants to swap theories and ideas on how to implement them. Peace.
